Client Journey
A No-Fly Alaska Rail & Cruise Expedition
Ed, Karen, Michael & Emily
What the client asked for
A fully curated land-and-sea journey designed for travelers seeking Alaska without the need to fly. Two couples planning an Alaska cruise sought a creative solution for one traveler who preferred not to fly — the result was a fully immersive rail-and-cruise expedition that transformed transportation into part of the experience.
What I booked for them
The journey began with an Amtrak sleeper route from Texas to the West Coast, continuing through Los Angeles and up to Seattle before boarding a seven-night Alaska cruise with balcony accommodations for uninterrupted views of Alaska's dramatic coastline. Shore experiences included private whale watching, glacier region excursions, and time with sled-dog puppies. After the cruise, the journey continued by rail with an overnight stay in Chicago before returning home across the Midwest. Custom spiral-bound travel guides outlined every segment — train routes, cruise details, and curated experiences.
"Fantastic tour. We had a fabulous time. No rain and clear visibility the entire trip. Thanks for arranging it!"
