Destinations

Nile river cruising and Chobe safari sailings. Pair with a land safari for depth.

Where to Sail

The Chobe

River Cruising

The Chobe

A river safari in southern Africa. Houseboat-style vessels on the Chobe river between Botswana and Namibia put you eye-level with elephants, hippos, and crocodiles from the water, then move you onto game drives by day. Pair with Victoria Falls and a Kalahari or Okavango Delta extension.

Best Time to Sail

May through October for the dry season, when wildlife concentrates along the river and viewing is at its best.

The Nile

River Cruising

The Nile

Egypt by water is a journey through five thousand years of civilization. Sailings between Luxor and Aswan visit the temples of Karnak and Luxor, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Philae. Pair with Cairo and the pyramids on the front end and a Red Sea extension on the back. A bucket-list voyage on a small dahabiya or modern river vessel.

Best Time to Sail

October through April for comfortable temperatures. November and February strike the best balance of weather and crowds.

A South African Honeymoon Safari Journey

Hayden & Lauren

What the client asked for

A honeymooning couple seeking something distinctive and meaningful wanted to maximize their time while experiencing Africa in a way that felt both luxurious and unhurried — a luxury honeymoon across Cape Town, the Cape Winelands, and the Sabi Sand Reserve, designed around limited travel time and maximum immersion.

What I booked for them

Began in Cape Town with business-class flights and a stay at a boutique luxury property, followed by private touring in the Cape Winelands and curated dining experiences. The itinerary continued onward to the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve, where a private luxury safari suite with plunge pool served as the centerpiece — twice-daily game drives, spa treatments, and immersive wildlife encounters defined the rhythm of their stay. Every connection, from international flights to internal transfers, was carefully orchestrated to ensure a seamless transition between city and wilderness.

"Our honeymoon to South Africa was the trip of our dreams. With Kat's help we were worry free from the very beginning and most importantly we felt safe the entire time as a result of her help."
